Introduction

While Ezoic's AI optimizes ad placements for your visitors, you often want a "clean" experience for your internal team. By using the Ezoic WordPress Plugin, you can easily exclude specific user roles (like Administrators or Editors) from seeing ads. This prevents ad placeholders from shifting your layout while you are editing pages and ensures your internal team doesn't accidentally trigger "Invalid Click" flags while reviewing live content.

Instructions

1. Access the Plugin Settings

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Ezoic.

2. Navigate to Ad Placements

  1. Within the Ezoic plugin interface, click on the Ad Placements tab.

  2. In the top-right corner of the plugin settings area, click on the Gear Icon (Settings).

3. Configure User Targeting

  1. Select the Targeting & SEO tab from the horizontal menu.

  2. Locate the User Targeting section.

  3. Click the dropdown menu to see a list of your WordPress roles (e.g., Administrator, Editor, Author).

  4. Check the box next to the roles you wish to exclude from seeing ads.

    • Tip: Most publishers select "Administrator" to ensure ads never appear while they are managing the backend.

  5. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
