Introduction

Header Bidding Mediation allows publishers to connect their existing accounts with third-party header bidding networks directly to the Ezoic platform. By enabling these networks to compete for your advertising inventory, you increase the "bid pressure" on every impression, which typically leads to higher EPMVs. All revenue generated through these mediated networks is paid directly to you through your individual network accounts.

Steps

1. Accessing Mediation Settings

  1. Log in to your Ezoic dashboard.

  2. Navigate to EzoicAds > Ad Integration.

  3. Click on the Header Bidding Mediation tab.

2. Adding a Network

  1. Browse the list of available networks or use the search bar to find a specific partner.

  2. Click the green Add Network button next to your chosen partner.

  3. Enter the required credentials (such as an API key, Account ID, or Site ID) provided by that network.

  4. Click Save.

3. Managing Your Connections

  • Pause All: If you need to troubleshoot revenue or site performance, you can use the Pause All button to temporarily stop mediated bidders from participating in your auction.

  • Individual Toggles: You can enable or disable specific networks one by one to test which partners provide the highest yield for your specific niche.

Troubleshooting

Revenue Not Showing in Ezoic Dashboard

  • Symptom: You see impressions being served by a mediated partner, but the revenue isn't appearing in your Ezoic earnings tab.

  • Solution: This is normal. Because these are your own private accounts, the revenue is recorded within that specific network's portal (e.g., your individual 33Across or 1accord dashboard). Ezoic provides the auction infrastructure, but the financial transaction remains between you and the network.

Low Performance or Latency

  • Issue: Adding too many mediated networks can sometimes increase the "time to bid."

  • Solution: For JavaScript-integrated sites, we recommend only adding networks with which you have a strong existing relationship. If you notice a drop in site speed, try pausing networks one by one to identify if a specific partner is causing a bottleneck. If issues persist, ensure your primary JavaScript Header Script is placed as high in the <head> as possible.

Network Fails to Connect

  • Verification: Double-check your API keys and Site IDs. Most connection failures are due to a mismatch between the credentials in your network account and what was entered in the Ezoic dashboard.

FAQs

Do I need to apply to these networks separately?

For Header Bidding Mediation, yes. You are connecting your existing accounts. If you do not have an account with a specific network, you must apply to them directly before you can add them to Ezoic.

Is this the same as AdSense Mediation?

No. AdSense Mediation is specifically for linking your Google AdSense account. Header Bidding Mediation is for other third-party exchanges (like Rubicon, Pubmatic, or 33Across).

Does Ezoic take a cut of mediated revenue?

No. 100% of the revenue generated through your mediated partners is paid directly to you by those partners.

What is the benefit of adding these if Ezoic already has partners?

While Ezoic has thousands of partners, your specific site might have a high direct-demand value with a specific network. Linking that account ensures that if they are willing to pay more than Ezoic's partners, they win the impression, maximizing your EPMV.
